This course addresses the numbers side of sports, focusing largely on statistics, including When they developed, how they have evolved, and how they are integral to sport. The analytics revolution in sports will also be addressed, touching on how it has changed the ways in which players are evaluated and, therefore, how sport has changed because of it. Aspects of the business side of sports will be discussed, as well.
