COM 440L - Advocacy Journalism

Liberal Arts
Through a series of readings, students will examine the historical and political roles of advocacy journalism in the United States. They will compare this unconventional communication vehicle to conventional journalism. In the process, students will become advocates for individual causes and will engage in extensive reporting, research, and writing on these topics. These articles will eventually be published in an electronic magazine.
