ENG 310L - Playwriting Workshop 3 Credit(s)
Liberal Arts Designed to help the writer explore the special nature of writing for the stage. The student-playwright will experiment with shorter and longer forms, from the scene to the one-act play. Assignments will focus on experimenting with character, motivation, setting, and dialogue techniques. As theatre is meant to be heard and seen, scenes will be read and critiqued in the classroom, with special attention paid to suitability for production. Students will workshop numerous pieces throughout the semester and revise work.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 150L or ENG 222L or ENG 280L , or permission of instructor
