PHIL 201L - Ethics of Artificial Intelligence

In this course students will explore the ethical implications of artificial
intelligence and its impact on society. We will begin this semester with an overview of fundamental
moral theories, which will serve as a foundation for examining ethical issues related to AI. We will
then explore the societal and individual impacts of AI and conclude our semester by considering the
future of AI and student’s own responsibilities related to AI development and use. The course aims to
equip students with the tools to navigate and address the complex moral challenges posed by
advancing AI technologies.
