GAME 411L - Topics in Games, UX & Emerging Media 3 Credit(s)
Liberal Arts This course focuses on a specific and timely topic related to interactive media, games, and user experience design
(UX). Students are first provided with relevant theoretical frameworks and a multidisciplinary foundation of the topic,
as well as a brief history and survey of emerging trends. In addition, students will learn basic design principles related
to the topic and gain an understanding of how to incorporate theory into their creative practices. Previous topics have
included games and learning, reality media, esports, experimental games, advanced Unity, Unreal development, game
art, game writing, and more. May be taken up to three times under different topics.
Offered When: As and when necessary. Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing. Some topics may have additional prerequisites applied.
