ART 105N - Basic Sculpture 3 Credit(s)
Non Liberal Arts An introduction to the techniques and concepts of creating sculpture. The formal skills of constructing, modeling, and carving will be used to create both figurative and abstract forms. The qualities, properties, and structural possibilities of various traditional materials will be explored, as well as those that are more contemporary and unconventional. During regular class critiques, students will develop a usable vocabulary for describing and evaluating their own work and other three-dimensional works of art.
