CHEM201L - Principles of Organic Chemistry 3 Credit(s)
Liberal Arts This one-semester course is designed to give students who are not oriented toward a chemistry graduate program, medical school, dental school, or veterinary school a basic understanding of the principles of organic chemistry. The course is designed to provide the content and analytical thinking skills needed to prepare students for nursing school, PA school, and other non-chemistry science graduate programs. Students study the structures, properties, and reactions of organic molecules. The topics of stereochemistry, stability, biologically relevant reactions, and reaction mechanisms are emphasized throughout the course. Two lectures per week.
