A laboratory course, continued from CHEM 423L, designed to expose students to basic biochemical techniques. Topics include cellular metabolism, proton transport, nucleic acid composition and manipulation, advanced aspects of protein purification, and characterization and application of on-line biochemistry resources. One three-hour laboratory per week.
