Liberal Arts An examination of the ways in which people communicate through verbal and nonverbal symbols, the processes by which the receiver interprets messages, the effects of communication upon relationships, and the environmental and cultural conditions that affect communication. Intrapersonal and interpersonal communication are studied to help the student improve his or her own skills and to provide a foundation in basic communication theory.
