This course introduces students to the principles and practice of editing for both print and digital formats. Students will learn to improve copy by strengthening writing clarity, cohesion, and organization. They will learn to write headlines and news photo cutlines, to design and lay out pages, and to use typography effectively.

Offered When: Spring and as necessary.
Prerequisite(s): COM 242L. May be taken concurrently with COM 103L.
