The aim of this course is to focus on organizations’ engagement with customers and other stakeholders as part of a cross-functional communication strategy. Students will examine the relationship between the messages that organizations can (and do) use, situation and critical stakeholders-often with competing and mutually exclusive interests-that an organization speaks to When managing situations ranging from routine to crisis. Students will develop a strong knowledge of the current theory and research in strategic stakeholder communication and engage in a project to apply this knowledge.
