Liberal Arts This course provides an analysis of the American criminal courts including the structure, functions, and roles of incumbents in the courts. There is an emphasis on political and economic contexts within which the courts work, as well as the concepts of law and crime, federal and state courts, the appellate process, processing defendants, and sentencing.
