Liberal Arts This course examines the intersections of race, ethnicity, crime, and the criminal justice system. Topics include, but are not limited to: social construction of race, theories of race and crime, crime patterns, racial profiling, mass incarceration, and institutional racism. These topics will be reviewed from various perspectives in the criminal justice system including policing, courts, and corrections.
