Liberal Arts The course will introduce students to the literary discourse of groups of people with common origins and/or connected by a shared experience. The course will examine such topics as ethnicity, identity, discrimination, gender, and assimilation in the experience of different ethnic groups in the United States. Readings may come from one community (i.e., African-American literature) or from a variety of communities. Specific course content will vary.
