Liberal Arts This course explores the relationship between literature and politics in a variety of genres. Readings will consider the literary representation of political acts as well as the creation and consumption of literature as a political act. The intersections between power, governance, and art will be questioned, as will related topics such as censorship, fictional representations of political figures, and satirical treatments of governments. Specific course content will vary.
