Liberal Arts This course explores the relationship between literature, medicine, and society in a variety of genres. Readings will consider the literary representation of medicine, illness, and the body, while always considering how a particular society tells these stories. Together we will analyze tales of wellness, illness, and healing, while considering the ways in which patients and doctors convey societal fears and hopes. Specific course content will vary.
