ENG271L - Classics of Western Literature II 3 Credit(s)
Liberal Arts Taken in coordination with ENG 270L Classics of Western Literature I, this course sequence provides students with an overview of the Western literary tradition from classical times to the 21st century. Students will focus on key texts from different chronological periods in order to gain a firm sense of the wider “narrative” underlying the works they will study in upper-level courses. Questions of literary genius, tradition, and adaptation will be central to both courses in the sequence. (Fulfills a Foundation Requirement for the English major.)
