ENG317L - Collaborative Writing 3 Credit(s)
Liberal Arts This class is about understanding writing and revising: why we write and rewrite, how we respond to writing, and the range of ways in which we and other people write, learn to write, and teach writing. Course readings and assignments will introduce students to major themes in writing studies scholarship, with an emphasis on inclusivity, accessibility, and diversity. Students will complete practice tutoring sessions, conduct original writing research, and expand their repertoire of intellectual, professional, and interpersonal skills. This course prepares students to work as undergraduate peer tutors in the Writing Center, as well as in publishing, in education, and in other venues.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of Core/LS writing requirement
