Liberal Arts Poetry and nonfictional prose of the years 1830-1880 with emphasis on selected works by such authors as Tennyson, Browning, Arnold, Carlyle, Mill, Ruskin, and the Rosettis. Attention is given to the intellectual and cultural climate in which these writers worked.
