ENSC 101L - Introduction to Environmental Issues 3 Credit(s)
Liberal Arts This course examines earth’s natural systems, adverse impacts of human activities upon these systems, and how society addresses these impacts. Topics include climate disruption, environmental justice and the Hudson River. They may further include ecology; biodiversity; forests and deforestation; human population growth and control; food production sustainable agriculture; energy resources; water and air pollution; and environmental sustainability. In addition to the science of these topics, related politics, economics, and ethics are discussed. Content, teaching approaches and text vary by instructor.
