An introduction to the French language in its cultural context. Basic communicative skills, pronunciation, essentials of grammar, vocabulary building for Everyday conversation, cultural exposure through focused readings and multimedia materials. Two weekly one-hour sessions of audio and video practice through the Language Center are required. Closed to heritage speakers of French and students from countries where French is commonly spoken.
