HIST332L - Women & Religion in America

3 Credit(s)

Liberal Arts
This course explores the religious experiences of American women in a variety of historical contexts and traditions. Our approach will emphasize racial, cultural, and spiritual diversity in women’s lives, as well as issues of power, piety, and leadership. Finally, this class will examine “lived religion” rather than simply doctrines or beliefs. This course counts toward the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Minor.

Prerequisite(s): Six credits in history
