Liberal Arts Dual listed as ENG 303L This workshop course focuses on the tools professional screenwriters use to create compelling film and television stories. Students will learn scene-writing techniques based on the principles of dramatic irony, visual storytelling, three-act story structure, and protagonist-driven narrative. Students will identify and solve story problems in their own writing and in the writing of their classmates as they develop concepts into treatments and step outlines for feature-length movies or hour-long television scripts.
