This course examines contemporary issues affecting television today, as a medium, industry, and art form. Through readings, viewings and producing research papers, students will analyze in depth such topics as: children and television, violence, sports, emerging genres, reality TV, and effects of FCC regulations. May be taken up to three times under different topics.
