This course examines contemporary issues in film studies. Through reading, viewing and producing research papers, students will analyze in depth such topics as: recent morphs of the horror genre, postmodern film, film spectatorship, independent filmmaking, film in the digital age, 3D films, Queer Cinema, Dogme 95, Mumblecore, and sequels. May be taken up to three times under different topics.
