MS401N - Advanced Leadership I 3 Credit(s)
Non Liberal Arts The course concentrates on leadership, management and ethics. The course focuses students, early in the year, on attaining knowledge and proficiency in several critical areas they will need to operate effectively as Army officers. These areas include coordinating activities with staff sections, counseling theory and practice within the Army context, training management, and ethics. Other instruction includes briefing techniques, effective writing, Army training systems, and the logistical and administrative support of military operations. Senior students assume leadership roles as cadet commanders, staff officers, or staff assistants responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of all cadet training and operations. At the end of the course, students should possess the fundamental skills, attributes, and abilities to operate as competent leaders.
