MUS322N - Marching Band Drill Design

This course develops basic skills and exposure of marching band drill design in developing sound, combination of movement, and visual appeal in marching band shows. The course is designed to present numerous aspects of Marching Band, ranging from its history and function in contemporary society - with particular focus on the Marist Marching Band. Students will learn the process of creating an appropriate marching band show, from music selection, drill design (using computer aided software) and marching instruction, as well as effective rehearsal techniques for marching band
