Liberal Arts This class covers the key 20th century and beyond political theories that color our thinking about how best to govern, organize political life and live in community. We will engage with primary source material surveying the most influential political theorists of our time as they engage with the issues which define and shape contemporary politics such as extremism, genocide, justice, democratic engagement, economics, citizenship, sovereignty, the role of religion and power in our pluralistic and interdependent modern world.
Prerequisite(s): One 200-level class from any subfield
