Non Liberal Arts A survey of the substantive and procedural aspects of the laws governing employer-employee relations. Emphasis is placed on the federal laws regulating union organizing, collective bargaining, and arbitral processes. Topics covered include the new pension law (ERISA), Occupational Health and Safety Act, Equal Employment Opportunity Act, and New York State Public Sector Labor Relations. Students role-play in mock collective-bargaining and arbitration exercises.
