An introduction to the Russian language in its cultural context. Basic communication, pronunciation, essentials of grammar, vocabulary building for Everyday conversation, cultural exposure through focused readings and multimedia materials. Two weekly one-hour sessions of audio and video practice in the language center are strongly encouraged. Closed to heritage speakers of Russian and students from countries where Russian is commonly spoken.
