The elements of conversational Russian are pursued more intensely and thoroughly and adapted to various cultural settings. A strong emphasis is placed on speaking and on extending reading and listening skills to authentic Russian material. Two weekly one-hour sessions of audio and video practice through the Language Center are required. Closed to heritage speakers of Russian and students from countries where Russian is commonly spoken.
