This course explores disability as a social, cultural, and political phenomenon. Topics for discussion will include the culture and history of disability, implicit bias, identity, as well as the myths and stigmas surrounding disability. Students will learn the principles of case and class advocacy, to empower them to become better change agents and more effective allies.
