GAME 310L - Advanced User Experience (UX) Design

This course builds on earlier courses and continues to develop students’ understanding of the design process,
iterative design, information architecture, user testing and prototyping. Students will focus on the formative and
summative assessment of their design practice, using a variety of research methods and techniques, such as surveys,
focus groups, observation, interviews, and usability testing. Students will also conduct a series of rapid prototyping
and design exercises that will support the creation of a robust portfolio. Case studies, reading, discussion and weekly
critiques will help students hone their practice. Students will be required to present their work regularly in a variety of
written, visual, and digital formats. No programming experience is necessary.
