GAME 311L - Ethical & Inclusive Design 3 Credit(s)
Liberal Arts This course explores the principles and practices of designing user experiences (UX) that prioritize ethical responsibility, inclusivity, and accessibility. Students will examine the impact of design choices on diverse populations, considering cultural, social, ability, and other individual differences, as well as issues of equity, privacy, AI, and digital ethics. Students will engage in hands-on projects, critiques, and case studies to develop user-centered design solutions that are ethical and equitable. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the skills and mindset to create designs that empower all users, enhance digital equity, and promote social good. No prior knowledge or technical expertise is required.
