ART 311N - Photography III: Advanced Topics 3 Credit(s)
Non Liberal Arts Building on foundations established in Photography I and II, this advanced course challenges students to develop complex visual narratives and cohesive bodies of work. Students will experiment with creative boundaries while mastering advanced professional production techniques, with an emphasis on conceptual development, storytelling, studio lighting, and alternative approaches to photographic practice. Through digital workflows and advanced manipulation techniques, students will explore contemporary methods of image-making that redefine conventional boundaries. Students will develop a distinct artistic voice while positioning their work within contemporary photographic discourse. Additionally, students will examine the historical and critical role of photography, with a focus on artistic interventions that challenge systems of image production. Through intensive studio work, critical discussion, and independent research, students will refine their technical abilities.
